As famous marketing guru Philip Kotler says that if a firm meets all the conditions which marketing model sets forth, it might not need advertisement. For instance, if the needs and trends of consumer are determined first, the products are designed accordingly and are transmitted to the consumer by using the proper prices and distribution channels; there may not be any needs for advertising. Even if everything seems decent institutionally, it never happens that way in reality. Not only in the past but also at the present time, there are not any products which have been sold by itself or without advertisements. Therefore, the advertising should be approached not as an objective but as a means of benefit to increase the sales of an institution with its exposed face.

In this regard the issue whether the adverts are costly or an investment to increase the profitability of the institutions always puts a question mark in the minds. By taking into account the conditions of our age, the advertising should be considered as an investment in such a competition environment and even there should be gained advantages from this for the sake of the institution. If the advertisement brings benefit and the cost sets off, this will surely be a very significant aspect for the firm. It is to the point to consider the advertisement as an investment, which will increase the sales and help expenses return further for the company.
